- The price is locked in writing before the move. You pay that amount unless you add items or services.
- Non-binding estimate
- The final price is based on the actual weight of your shipment. Federal rules cap what you pay at delivery at 110% of the estimate; any balance above that is billed later.
- Binding not-to-exceed
- You pay the lower of the estimate or the actual weight-based price, so the estimate is your ceiling.

- Covers 60 cents per pound per item. A 25-pound TV that’s damaged would be worth $15. You must sign to choose it.

Weather is a real factor. Summers are hot, winters are cold, and spring brings severe storms. Late spring and early fall are the easiest months to move.

Your First 90 Days in Kansas: License and Car
Kansas gives new residents 90 days to switch over both a driver’s license and vehicle registration. There’s no smog or safety check, but out-of-state cars do need a VIN inspection first.
